PIAA driving lights.....Which 1's?
#1
Hello chaps (+ladies)....
What are the PIAA driving lamps to fit to our Impreza's??????
I am able to get hold of the following, but not sure if these are the latest spec PIAA's for our scoobs.....:
PIAA 80 PRO XT
120Watt Super Racing Halogen Lamps.
Are these the older type or are they the nuts??????
Cheers Guys, Jacko (97MY)

They are indeed the ones to have. Got them on my and Carolyn's MY00's.
Choice of drive or pencil beams. Most people go for drive as pencil beam is very narrow.

As an alternative I've fitted Hella Comet 500's at a fraction of the price of PIAA's (www.hella.co.uk). They have 100W H3 bulbs, are reliable and provide plenty of light. A pair of lamps cost less then £50 about the same price as a new PIAA lens. On top of this are the backing plates, relay and wire - probably another £30 tops.
