SPARK PLUGS
Anyone got any advice on spark plugs. My UK99 is due its 30k service and I notice they are due for a change.
Is it worth getting any particular ones, or just let the garage but in whatever they normally use?

Check with your garage how much they intend to charge you for the plugs. To get them from Halfords for instance will cost you around £13.50 - each! Might be worth supplying them yourself? (and the oil)
I also have 99MY, what, if any, probs. have you had?

John,
Good idea, I'll have to look into it.
As far as problems are concerned, nothing really to speak of. The only continuing bugbear is the paintwork,DBM, which seems to have something of a reputation for being poor quality and chip easy. Why, have you had problems?

Same colour, same problem! Paint (or laquer) seems too soft? Have got plenty of touch-up dots on the front now (only 11k mls.)
Rear diff. unit replaced @ 1800 mls.(knocking) Headlining would go soggy in damp weather, like driving a rather quick tent! Other than that just the usual poor synchromesh.
Just hope the MY99`s dont develop the piston slap syndrome!

What sort of knocking?
Admitedly got Leda so suspension a bit harder than normal, but it sounds like something is sitting in the spare tyre hole & tapping the floor panel, or poss something under the rear seat is loose, or the rear seatbelt is knocking against the rear wheel arch. Needless to say, all checked & clear of movement/ability to knock. Driving me potty
However, it does sound more loose object than rythmical...
Any advice/pointers helpful & as just coming up to its latest service time...
