Unhappy

Anyone know what the routine is with this - i've got a smashed lense on one of the driving lamps - the light still works for now, but there is a big hole in it.

Can you buy replacement lenses ( he asked hopefully...) or do you have to buy the whole thing or more probably two of the 8loody things?

Alternatively is it worth fitting the P1 HID driving light upgrade?

Question

Hmmmm! Interesting.

What MAKE of lights are yours then, if they are the Halogen ones?Once you know who made the reflector/lens unit, you MAY be able to source another one. Cibie are easy, Hella are quite easy, but PIAA and others will be more difficult.

If it's branded Subaru, you're into dealers, and dealer's prices.:

AFAIK, the HID upgrade would still be available from Hella at about £500 for two

Thanks for replying. Halogen ? God knows I'll have a look today, and hopefully I'll be able to work out if they're scooby made or were sourced after market stuff. I'm trying to avoid the dealers as IIRC they'r eabout 600 squid for the ordinary ones and 800+ for the HID jobbies...

Question

Does that £800 include all brackets, covers etc etc?

A new HID unit for a P1 can be had from a Hella dealer, part number IKO 008 192 007 for about £250 inc VAT, and the bracket for it is 9AH 157 359 007, about £10

Try your dealer, they are nowhere near £600. Gas discharge are £400/pr +vat with everything you need to upgrade.

Excellent news Mike, I'll do that.

Only problem now is that my nearest dealer is 50 odd miles away in Canterbury now since Lancaster 7oaks expired.
