ok,
Lights on the wifes escort (96 N reg) have gone pear shaped, when we switch on lights, normally the dash lights up and front & rear lights as well, but now the dash won't light up neither do the rear lights, side lights & the rear fog doesn't work either? the dip beam and main beam work ok and so do the indicators & reversing lights, checked all fuses and bulbs, all ok, so me thinks its the stalk on the steering column thats gone FUBAR

anybody agree or is there maybee something i've missed ???

Think I'm right in saying that Escorts of that age suffer from premature fusebox failure, they weren't built anywhere near strong enough and they melt internally. Might be worth getting it checked out by someone in the know.
