Right - High Beam
Top - Low Beam

get it wrong and all you will do is get both bulb filiments on together but dim,

Daft question, but how would you actually meter the voltage. Is it correct to stick one probe on low beam, then other on ground (using bulb connectors with lights on)? Obviously same idea with high beam.
That's what I did earlier and got 10.23v (14.2v @ alternator).

Yep you are right with your metering, thats some sort of drop you have there, I would be surprised if after relaying them, you would take long to send me a big fat cheque and promise to wash my scoob on sundays, just for starting that light thread lol :-)
