Hi there,

My new Phillips vision bulbs from Powerbulbs.com have just arrived. What an excellent service from them, and fast delivery considering the Xmas post.

Anyhow, How do I remove the old bulbs ?

There is a lack of space for my big hands to get even the side lights out...

Anyone care to share some knowledge please.

Dip or main?

The mains (9005 (or is it 9003 forget) aka HB3's) are at the top, unclip the wiring plug and they just come out with a quarter turn anticlockwise (looking at the back of the bulb). The dips (H1's) are under a fluted black plastic cover a bit lower down, quarter turn anti clock gets the cover off then remove the power lead and unclip the silver springy bit and hinge it back to get the bulb out.

If you have 5 thumbs then you could make loads more room on the nearside by removing the battery. On the offside you can get more room if the air intake is removed, 2 off 10mm bolts at the front then it just pulls off the trunking to the filter.

Hmm I fitted a HID kit on my lamps and never had any problems, at 6ft 7" I have BIG hands.

Can anyone just clarify that the main beam on the STi 7 is a 9005 type bulb.
