FOG LIGHT RIP OFF

JUST BOUGHT FOG LIGHTS FOR MY 51 STI7 OFF SUBARU FOR £160+VAT.BUT WONT FIT NOW THEY SAY I NEED A BIT OF PLASTIC THAT WILL COST ME £297.83+VAT. HAS ANY ONE ELSE COME ACROSS THIS PROBLEM.IS THERE ANY WHERE ELSE I CAN GET THEM FROM.

They will fit. You need to take the curvy plastic cover off. Then the lights will fit but they'll look well naff without the cover.
The other bit is a curvy plastic cover with a hole in it to go round the lights. Tad expensive for what it is... but I guess the tooling costs are huge and the market somewhat limited.
You could cut a hole in your existing curvy cover but it wouldn't be as nice and you'd not be able to remove them later. I'm not aware of anyone else doing an alternative.
I've got a pair of these covers on an STi7 for my Scoobysport drive lights if you need more info.
