Soz if this has been asked before, but will STi7 Headlights fit straight onto a MY01 Bugly ? or is there any mods that need doing ?

No it's much more complicated than that, something like the STi lights have a 6 wire beam adjuster motor, and the WRX has a 3 wire beam adjustment motor.
I'm sure there must be a wiring loom kit by now to convert but I'm sure the adjusters won't work.

Keep thinking about doing it myself. The only real issue is the beam adjusters - if you want electric adjustment you also need the switch from an STi. The rest of it looks to be quite straightforward to me.

You don't technically need the switch from an STi - they are moulded with Nissan in the casing so one from a Nissan car/dealer would fit.
From Subaru dealers (p/no 83011FE010 IIRC) they are approx. forty quid and fifty quid plus from Nissan . Nissan garages don't understand Subaru part numbers so it's sign language time again . If you go this dealer route, you still won't get the male mating connector which is on the loom (dealers are very unlikely to have one (or let you have one IMO) and scrap parts suppliers generally will only sell you a full loom unless it's beyond repair out of a write-off - been there, tried that... ) STi7s are like rocking horse doodah to find in scrappers...
Solution - scrapyards and look for either a newish micra or a newish almera - they have the required bits and you can chop out enough of the loom to give you a bit of wire to work with I paid a quid to walk out with the switch and made sure the loom bit was pocket sized - try various switches if possible as the "click" can get sloppy - newer the better
Ensure you get the switch with six connections / terminal / wires in the back as you'll need this many for the STi levellers...
WRX levelling: 3 wires of 0V, +12V and level signal wire (variable voltage)
STi levelling: 6 wires of 0V, +12V and four wires that each carry 12V depending upon switch position set (O to 3)
The STi spec switch is better than the WRX one as each number lights up individually with an LED so it's easy to tell which position it's at - the WRX one just lights all four at once
Then it's a case of running some 6-core wire from the switch to one light and then to the other. I had to put my own multi-way connectors on as the ones on the lights are near impossible to source (unless you want x thousand at a time from Japan).
There's a couple of posts on nasioc (www.nasioc.com) which give the required pinouts and then it becomes a trial and error job for which position gives what output - at least if you have both lights wired up the same they won't go cross-eyed on you and it's easier to troubleshoot.
Have fun...
