98 classic crystal headlights

They are a standard H4 fitment, changed mine over many times.
I assume you undid the springclip and rotated it out of the way ?
The base of the bulb has 3 tabs sticking out, which engage with slots in the reflector housing - they'll only go in one way, just rotate until they slip into place, you may not have had them lined up properly.
Hope this helps,
T

Hi, they were standard H4's from Halfords, the 'supposedly' brighter ones. The tabs locate ok, but if you put the two bottom tabs in, the top tab seems to be too long and the bulb doesnt sit correctly, screwing any sort of beam pattern and pi$$in off cars on other side of the road!!!
I just wondered if they were different as they are on some other cars with plastic lights, rather than glass.
If you got yours in ok, then maybe its the bulbs. I'll go back and see them.
Many thanks!
Si.
