Anyone found their batt goes flat after just over a week with alarm and tracker fitted?

I've had to buy a 2nd batt (the other is also new 60 AH unit) and fit one/charge the other otherwise once the batt is flat, the car alarm goes off for ages (backup batt from car alarm).

Not much extra wiring...just Alpine sterio, secs (which I disconnect)...I've tested the positive and it takes about .26 amps.

Mine once sat for nearly 3 weeks. Turned over just the same as normal. (my97)

Hmm...makes me think I've got electrical drain somewhere. The batts are both new and hold charge well. I've only had a tracker fitted and sterio as extra. I've tested the power supply to the sterio when it's off and it takes no amps.

I've had starting problem about twice before and suspect it relates to batt voltage.

I was also using a 3rd batt from a corsa (also new) but that one doesn't have the capacity to run on the scoob for more than about 4 days...

Do you have an alarm and emob on yours?

Yeah alarm and emob and after market stereo. But as you say when the ignition is off stereo does not put any drain on the battery.

I would suggest you have an earth leak somewhere

And another security device which does drain the battery (v slowly)
