Sti 7 lights into a my01 WRX
#2
Nope, wirings different for bulbs and also for the electric height adjuster. But it has been done by a couple of people so it must be feasible. They certainly look 500% better than the standard WRX lights.
Yes.
H1 for dip beam, 9005 for main beam.

Yep, it's possible (I've put HID JDM STi lights on a WRX). Just don't think it's a five minute job
The bulbs aren't too difficult to sort once you work out what is live / neutral when you switch on the stalk. The indicators / sidelights should be a straight plugging in job with existing connectors. The WRX has a 3 terminal plug for the H4 connector and this is +12V supply and then switched 0V for main and dipped beams.
The fun starts with the levelling setup...
You can either leave them without levelling (OK until next MOT?) or work through the six-wire connectors to sort out what does what and run your own "loom" in... The WRX has a three wire system and it's not worth trying to come up with the electronics "black box" to convert it to 6-wire. Just get hold of an STi switch (p/no 83011FE010 AFAIR but confirm this as opposed to 83011FE011) for 40-ish quid or one from an almeira scrapper for nearly nowt and wire this up.
Sorry if this is garbled but I'm a bit pished at the mo
