When locking the doors either inside or with the key-fob the driver’s door central locking has started to clunk about 5 times rapidly. It all started during this hot whether.
Has anyone else had this problem? Or know how to sort it?
MY99 UK Turbo.
It’s getting irritating.

My guess would be that one of the solenoids is not seating at the bottom position correctly, causing a bounce.
Check all doors are closed correctly or open all the doors and with a screw driver, flick all the locks into the closed position, then try again.
Check that all interior lock switches move easily, ie have no resistance due to expansion from the panel.
This is only a guess as i do not know how subaru CDL works. (some cars will only bounce if the fault is in the o/s/f door.

I took it to the dealer which told me that a rod had come loose.
The night I picked my car up the clunking started again!!
Took the car in again this morning and they have just told me that the motor now needs replacing! Fingers crossed they diagnose the problem correctly this time.
