Here's some pics from my install:-

Driver side manifold & strut tower

Passenger side manifold & strut tower

ECU Bracket

Alternator

Battery Connection

I bought all my bits from Vehcile Wiring Products. Here's a breakdown of all the costs

6m x Ref.120 120/0.30mm, 8.5mm2, 60 Amp cable = £6.75
1m x HS6 6.4mm Bore Heat Shrink Sleeving = £0.85
12 x H6XL 6.4mm Ring Terminals = £2.12
3m x F7 7mm Bore Flexible Convoluted Tubing = £1.59
1m x F11 11mm Bore Flexible Convoluted Tubing = £0.67
0.5m x F16 16.5mm Bore Flexible Convoluted Tubing = £0.41
0.5m x F19 19.5mm Bore Flexible Convoluted Tubing = £0.52

Grand total = £12.91

Stefan

Apparently a smoother running motor, lol...
Check the OE Earthing-just 2 crap bits of earth cable attatched to the chassis, the more earth u got the better grounding-without going overboard. Alot of tuning companies r copying this now and charge stupid amounts for a kit like £200+!!

It's not as daft as it seems V45DSM but of only real benefit IMHO if you have any problem which could be earth related.
I see your a Scot as well, may be worthwhile seeing it done and reasons why if you're at any of the meets.

I've done it myself for a number of reasons, one of them being the age of the car ('99). Another reason was because of a map issue on the car which may or may not have been ECU related. (My mixtures in certain circumstances were all over the shop, so carried this out but slightly differently to ozzy (Stefan).

Haven't got pics to hand but i ran 8 gauge cable from:
1) Rear of alternator to battery.
2)From battery to strut tower
3)From strut tower i linked to the two earth wires at the back of the suspension turret (dunno what they are for..)
4)From strut tower i went to clutch master cylinder... (why?), cause this provides a decent earth on to the bulkhead that the ECU also happens to be earthed to and saves running a cable inside the car)
4)From strut tower to engine block.

I didn't run any cable to the inlet manifold purely because i have isolated the manifold from the cylinder heads to reduce inlet temperatures.

Hope this helps

Alan

For the doubters:

With better earthing, the many electronic sensors get more accurate readings (for example, your lambda sensor reads less than 1 volt), you get better radio reception etc. etc.

It's a simple case of bad wiring (original) vs. good wiring (if you do it right).

£15 well spent, but no "power gain", it doesn't look particularly cool so won't gain you any points at your next cruise, but it is a sensible mod, especially on older cars.

In fact Bob Rawle has an HKS Circle Earth kit on his brand new JDM STi 9 and I get the feeling Bob isn't the kind of person who wastes his money and time on worthless crap.

bogie,

sorry for ignoring you m8.

Took me about 30mins or so to do the job. Trickiest bit was working out what lengths to cut the cables and routing them through the flexible trunking. I just crimped one end and connected it to wherever I wanted it (e.g. manifold), then worked back to the battery increasing the size of trunking as I went.

Just ordered mine now from vehicle wiring. Very friendly staff
all in all (bearing in mind that convoluted tubing is only available in 1.0m lengths) was £18 delivered incl. VAT.
