All,
Can someone kindly explain the difference in the above bulb types? Will only some of those bulbs work with a MY99 classic scoob, without pumping more power to the headlights?
Cheers.

The H1, H3, etc are just names for different sytles of bulbs.
You need to look at power ratings or e-marks to make sure they are legal. If they are legal, they will draw the correct current and will not blow up or melt your wiring loom!!

Yeap, those are the ones, they are H4, they are e-marked and they are perfectly legal for road use in the UK!
All the bulbs I mentioned are legal for road use!
Powerbulbs are very good, get the order in soon and they should be with you on Monday!

On a MY99 car, you will have:
H4 - Headlight bulbs
H3 - Foglight bulbs
W5W - Sidelight bulbs
Previously on my MY99 UK car, I had:
H4 - Philips VisionPlus bulbs (legal!)
H3 - Philips All Weather bulbs (yellow-ish giving better lighting in fog)
W5W - PIAA Super White (Just so the side lights looked white!!
I bought the Philips bulbs from Powerbulbs and I bought the W5W bulbs secondhand, but I know they are available from GGR, Demon Tweeks, etc.

Go to powerbulbs.com and there are pictures of the different bulbs.
I went for the Philips Vision Plus, big improvement over standard, but the Cibie Oscar 130W lamps were better still, in place of the useless fog lamps.

Thanks for that guys.
Andy Tang - Are these the bulbs you bought? They're legal, right (MOT is up soon)? -> http://www.powerbulbs.com/products/product.php?prodid=pvp&type=H4
