Lightbulb

Has anyone found a silver bulb for the rear indicator bulb as fitted to the MY03's, the manual quotes the orange bulb as a WY21W

A Silver version of this bulb would look mile better, anyone found then yet???

BTTT Anyone had any luck with these?

Popped them out to have a look the other day (rear indicators) thinking it would be a straight swap, but having seen them it isnt so straight forward....

SO, did anyone have any luck?

pps - naturbo2000, or anyone else - anyone managed to de-tango the front yet?

IMO Losing the orange indicator at the rear and the orange triangle on the front will look great....

Ok, I think I'm done now.....

Cheers for the reply.

Thing is, I think its a bit different on the new shape ones - the indicator bulbs are more like the side indicators as found here http://www.silverbulbs.co.uk/products.html but I dont think they are big enough.

Here are a couple of photos of the rear which demonstrate this - sorry for the poor quality - just nipped out to do it and the light was going/gone....but I hope you kind of see what I mean.

You are talking about the round bulbs like this though arent you?

Thanks though

How about www.powerbulbs.com

I'd be interested to know for my own MY03 WRX, not looked into this myself yet as only just got the car.

Andy, I dont think they have any either

I have just spent hours trawling the net and the only ones that look similar are commonly found listed as side repeaters and are I think on TSL et al (eg the silvertec ones).

Thing is, I cant find much info about them and I think they are way too small.

I did find a site totally in Japanese which seemed to be a walkthrough of how to change the indicators on some random car, and they did look like the right thing, but it was of little use.

I have emailed TSL so lets see what they say - or if any of you guys at TSL see this thread perhaps you could chip in. or any other suppliers on here for that matter.

If you can let me have the Japanese site address I should be able to get it translated at work and see if it is of any help.

Cool

http://member.nifty.ne.jp/t_ohara/PAGE/GIJYUTU/LAMP/lamp.htm or clicky

I'm not sure how much it will help though........

In the middle of last night while I was still searching for them, I'm sure I came across a BMW site which mentioned these bulbs....anyone have an E46 3-series and know if these bulbs are on the car at all....?

To be honest, looks like it may be time to get the spray paint out.........

Lol, only me again...I'm not desperate to get this sorted now or anything...

This was one of the BMW thingies I was talking about http://www.bimmian.com/platinumvisions.htm - although not exactly the same as our bulbs, it is a 'wedge' type (I'm talking about the one with the black connector thingy...).....It also demonstrates why I have been presuming that the smaller side repeaters look like they would be too small....although I would love to be proved wrong!!

(I'm sure I saw a bmw forum talking about this too - will have to look tomorrow now....)

Just had email from Trouser, basically saying no news yet...

Trouser wants them as badly as we do - TSL have an 03 and obviously Tango isn't Paul's thing...

If nothing else, I'm gonna try and get hold of some orange bulbs from a Subaru dealer at the weekend and de-tango the front (getting rid of the orange triangles, so just have orange bulbs...).

I'll let you know how I get on.

Good News!

I'm pretty sure the fitment is referred to as T20 in the US.

Now just got to try and track down a set of bulbs...
