I need a new battery for my STI 3, can I use the UK equivalent? The one quoted from my local Auto factors is 45Amps, is that OK?

Cheers Paul

I would imagine so... it's more the CCA you need to worry about and since the engine isn't likely to need more amps to crank than a UK it should be fine. Same goes for capacity, it ain't loaded to the gunnels with electrical stuff that isn't in the UK.

Lightbulb

just put an optima red top in. i left mine in my mini for a year and it started no worries.

they charge quicker, have more cca for the size of the battery and hold the charge longer, bit expensive though but you get what you pay for!

ps. my wrx sl 03 has a non sealed battery, the sort you can top up with distilled water. i thought this went out with the ark, i'm sure even a ford would have a sealed battery.

i left it alarmed up for a week while i was working in NY came back it was dead 1.6 volts.
whats the longest you have left your alarm on and still started it ?
