Exclamation

Has anyone moved their battery into the boot area ?? I'm planning to do this to give me some room for the SX fuel pressure regulator and external coil packs etc.. Basically I need to know of anyones problems after such a move (low voltage, hard starting etc)

Thanks in advance !!

If you get the cabling right (thick enough etc.) I don't think there will be a problem.

Be careful about fuses etc.

Cool

Things worth considering:

1: Run decent (ideally "armoured") cable from oe baterry location to the boot.
2: Do not run this cable alongside the fuel lines. Run it along the transmission tunnel instead, on the inside of the car.
3: Fit a mechanically sound mounting plate to support the battery.
4: Use a purpose built acid proof battery box to prevent spillage
5: Provide a vent hose for battery fluid/vapours to exit the vehicle.

Just some things that are worth considering if you want to do the job properly.

Fuse very close to the battery, and absolutely essential that you fuse before you go near any metal with the cable!!!!!

You could also try an Odyssey battery - sealed and dry so no fancy stuff required, can be lighter too if you aren't going to load your car with ICE.
