Battery STI7

The battery went flat on my Evo when it was 2 day's old! The dealer said they had fitted batteries to to most of the Evo's they had sold within 6 month's. I wonder if Jap spec battery isn't suitable for our climate?

MY UK300 went flat after a weeks holiday, jump started it and took it to the dealer and they did a drop test and said there was nothing wrong with it. Never had any more problems
My STi has been fine though.

Hi, my STi7 UK has never been a good starter - it churns over for ages in the morning before the engine catches.
The Subaru dealer thinks this is due to a dud battery too and is fitting a new one next week. Having said that, it's never actually gone flat though.
I hope this cures the problem - it's embarrasing!!

Had that problem first week of ownership - turned out to be the boot light not disengaging therefore when car sat in garage for a week (I was still using the old car whilst it was for sale) the battery died and would then not charge. Mine was import, but both light switch fixed and battery replaced under warranty (through main dealer paid for by the third party warranty through Motorpoint).

I had my car booked in for the 10,000 service on Thursday, which was a bit of luck as there were a few things that needed sorted. It was dud battery though, and it had to be replaced all on warrenty . The back disk needs to be replaced as well (on warrenty) seems as though its been badly gauged and the exhaust needed to be tightened as it was not tightened properly since the PPP. Hopefully that will be all for the time being!
What was your car in for Nils?
