Changing lights
#1
Hi there guys, as you know i obtained a Scooby, 2.0T GT, came with a light conversion(little circle lights) now one of the bulbs has gone on my lovely beast, and as easy as it was to buy a bulb for it, no one can work out how to change it!!
Anyone know of the process, or a website with manuals! driving me crazy and probably only a matter of time before the fuzz stop me!
I know it is a real woman question, but please as this is my first scooby, i am sure you can let me off.
it is the nearside light, the battery sort of gets in teh way.
greatful for your help.

Sounds like a set of Morettes (SP?)..
Try posting "How do I change a bulb in a set of Morretes?"
Or searching on Morretes, Morettes...
Haven't got a set myself though..
I believe Markus, P20SPD both have Morretes might be worth emailing them.

Which one of the two lights on the Morettes?
Outside one (bigger of the two), you just need rubber hands.
There's a mettle clip which holds the bulb in place. Sort of push and it will hinge down, freeing the bulb.
Agreed it's a Grade A PITA though.

I've got these on my '98 turbo, and there really isn't a lot of space behind the lights.
It IS possible to do it: you need help from someone with small hands if yours aren't.
Squeeze together the sides of the rubber cover behind the bulb, and pull it off. Now tuck it out of the way. The bulb is an H4, and is held in place by one, or two spring clips. Once these are sprung out (they hinge, and don't come all the way out), you can withdraw the bulb.
Replacement, as they say, is the direct opposite of removal, but do remember not to touch the glass surfaces of the bulb with your fingers.
If this is not poss, post again, and I'll sort out some instructions for removing the light unit to do the job.....and that's not as bad as it sounds!15 minutes, tops!
