Am about to install my sytsem into my99 and will be putting a heavier battery in too.With my previous cars ive put the alarm into valet mode to disconnect,is there any procedure to follow with scoobys.Also have heard of re-setting ecu,s with different petrols etc and wondered what this involved and the advantages of being able to do this.

Disconnected my battery the other day (MY99) to fit a new head unit. On reconnection the alarm armed it's self but just disarmed it again with no other problems. Don't know if there is a valet mode or not.
