Default Will ODB port show ABS codes?

One problem solved, two more appear (as always!), so thought I'd post again as you're all so helpful here

Had a wheel bearing replaced and new pads all around a few days back, now my ABS light is coming on (sometimes immediately, sometimes not until I reach about 30mph). Clearly something has been knocked/damaged but until I can get it back in to be looked at I wondered if I can read the ABS fault code from the ODBII port and one of these bluetooth ODBII devices? I read about a diagnostic port that you can ground but I can't for the life of me find it.

Figured it might be handy to have some way to read codes without needing to get it into a mechanic each time!

The car is a 2006 Impreza WRX Type UK

There might be, but if they're there I can't see them - presumably they wouldn't be plugged into anything? From what I could see the only disconnected thing I've got is 2 green connectors which I think are for ECU diagnostics, and a white 8 pin plug that I don't know what is for.

I'll have another look after work, but it's really not easy to see under the dash, maybe I'm looking in the wrong place, is it quite low behind the plastic or something?

You may have been able to back in the Classic days but no more.
You would need a very expensive unit to read anything but the engine codes.
ABS DTCs for MY06/07

2 green test connectors B75/76 and the only 8pin white connector in that region is B132 "Manual headlight beam leveler switch" which you don't have, as you have HID's.

Thanks Don, I sometimes feel I've picked the worse possible model for being a simple fix

Unfortunately for MY06 onwards the "check connector" and twin earth pins are no longer fitted.

MY05 without and with dccd

My06-07

Any ideas as to why such a big change ?

So with the Hawk for example there will be cars that method works with and cars it doesn't ?

Or am i mistaken and it is the Hawk that's the cross over point and it only works on Blobeye and previous ?

With the Hawk came the beginning of the move to CANBUS for European Imprezas.
The MY06-07 diagram shows all permutations for 1.5L;1.6L; 2.0L (SOHC non turbo);2.0L (DOHC non turbo0; 2.5L turbo (non STI) and STI models.
