Default ODB port

Hi,

Does anyone know what type of port is fitted to a 97 UK classic? I need to read the abs fault and some readers say they only support ODB11 upwards. Also type fo ECU code?

Cheers

Subaru Select Monitor.

Classic shape Imprezas aren't ODB2 at all (bar late US market ones). You need a Select Monitor with a 97-98 cartridge, or something that will emulate it exactly, especially if you're talking about the ABS ECU.

Ok thanks. Anywhere specific that I can get one of these? If it's too expensive I'll have to take it to get hooked up

Select Monitors come up for sale very rarely and go for many times the money you'll have been looking at for those basic ODB2 scanners.

Best bet is probably just to take it down the dealers.
