Default JDM Blobeye - wiring rear fog light

My car came from Japan with Hawkeye lights fitted, which had different holders to standard blob lights. In order to swap I’ve had to cut the fog light wires as I thought I could keep my bulbs and just swap the light unit.

I now now have the blob lights fitted but the 2 wires from my old fog switch are awaiting connection. Does anyone know what light I should be wiring them up to in the blob units? If so, what goes where?

Sorry if if it’s not clear, I by no means an auto-electrics specialist

Ive wired mine into the drivers side reverse with a red bulb, works well and looks neat rather than an extra light

+1 on my STi 5.

Helps if you get a red multi-LED bulb, too. Much brighter than the red-laquered filament bulbs.

So where there are 2 reverse lights currently you’ve done away with one? So one side is reverse and the other is fog?

Yup, I just done the same literally last week. Convert driver side reverse light to fog light. I got some nice and bright Philips red led bulb from eBay

Plus, it's MOT-compliant. In that you don't NEED two reversing lights to be legal (despite it being an OEM feature).

Obviously - and as already mentioned - make sure the foglight mod is done to the OFFSIDE cluster!
