Right so I've got a blobeye wrx & I've bought some component speakers which come with tweeters & a desperate crossover for each side. I've removed both oem tweeter & speaker now & cut both connectors off of the main wiring loom to the car & added spade connectors to both, Added spade connectors to both the new speaker & tweeter & wired them up. Should I of used the crossover than came with the component speaker & tweeter, wired the crossover to the where the original speaker went then run the new speaker & tweeter off the crossover box which had 2 separate ends 1 for tweeter 1 for woofer & then just tape up the old tweeter wires up as they would not be used? Hope this makes sense

 

yes, use the crossover that came with the components and connect it to the main speaker connector, tape up the old tweeter connections.
