Washed under the front passenger wheel arch with a pressure washer and found out that the speedo isn't working anymore. Is this a coincidence or something else??

The Rev counter, fuel and temp guage are fine. All other electrics are spot on.

dunno if this will help, ive had my speedo out a few times, check the back of speedo to make sure cable hasnt slipped out,do this by lookin up behind dash ,ur head down by pedals,ull need a torch and just try to see if cable has popped off, if not could of fallen off a another point

I thought if the speedo cable was disconnected the CHECK ENGINE light came on ?? I went to buy a car last year and the speedo cable had broke and we couldn't test car due to this problem.
