I did the speedo bulbs in my pre facelift GC with white LED lamps, won't be able to get any photos today though.

Could be these:http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/12v-096w-w...ent-type-wq13p

Or try on here:http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_fr...bulbs&_sacat=0

If you have one, put a multi-meter across it, measure it's resistance.

Then Current = Voltage /Resistance,
so Current = 12/Res.

After that,
Wattage = current x voltage, so
Wattage = 12 x current from above.
Pick whichever bulb gives you the same, beware of going too high a wattage, it might melt the holders etc.

I just bought T10 fitment white SMD LED lamps off eBay. Direct fit and good brightness. You can have a single LED because they don't spread the light around enough. I'll post a link to what I bought.

I've had them about 8 months or so.

If you look at the pics above you will see the bulb is in a tubular plastic holder. The bottom view clearly shows the wires protruding and wrapped round.

Can do but won't be today as I said. The ones in the eBay link I posted are great. Nice white colour and aren't too bright, don't look silly.
