Question H1 dip HID not working on a blobeye

My H1 HID's have been fine for several years until last weekend when I discovered they were going on and off, fault traced to broken wire in harness. Ordered a new relay harness and fitted it this morning, now they don't work at all. I'm getting 12 volts at the spade terminals which would usually go onto the bulbholder and the H1 bulb itself. The relay harness came with spade terminals on which I've now tried both ways around as thought originally I'd got it reversed. Still no lights. I seem to remember that the blobeye has something different with the earth switching?

I replaced main beam harness too and found the relay contacts and spade connections were rusty due to water ingress, they are fine.

Any ideas?

So is your car a JDM, seeing as you have HID

Where did you get this new harness from then? Dealer? Or are these non-OEM HIDs?

Not JDM, new relay harness with non OEM HID's, all sorted now as connections into ballasts not marked with polarity, reversed them and they work :-)

oh, well nice one for getting it sorted.

Mine are OEM JDM, but thy're not projector lenses - I wonder if the reflectors are a different design or exactly the same as your UK housings.

Would appreciate a photo of your lamp housing, with the headlights off.
