Quick help Needed - Wiring

This is just for illumination, right? Assuming this is a mechanical gauge...
If so, it doesn't matter as bulbs don't really care. Use yellow for illumination and black for wiring.
If it is an electric gauge, RTFM or hope someone else knows

Yep mechnaical boost gauge. I need to sort the wiring out for the lighting.
So Yellow for Lighting the gauge. Yellow wire connected to the fog switch wiring (Purple colour). On a MY99 will I see the purple wire when the steering column has been taken out?
&
Black for earth/ground to chaisis.

You won't find the fog lamp switch wiring under the steering column shroud. It's under the panel in front of your knees i.e. where the switch is.

D'oh, glad someone was reading! Sorry Vinesh.
Your other option is to pick up illumination from anywhere. I got mine from the ash-tray light.
To drop down the surround, there's two screws at the bottom of the dash and a strange screw thing in the side that's hidden when the door's closed
