Sunday Driver - Aka Nicky Grist

How did you get on at Fivemiletown on Saturday ? I was standing at the bridge just before the uphill sweeping right hander near the end of stage 1 / 4 . Saw you and thought I recognise that face , checked the entry list and saw your name . I should've smelt the cigar smoke but it was hidden by the smell of burning castrol R . Good rally to watch - much better than the Circuit last weekend .

Cheers Derek,
It was our first time out and the drivers(my cousins)first ever rally.Started off No 86-2nd last car on the road and were lying 38th after 6 stages. Then got a puncture on the last stage which lost us 4 minutes. Not too bad considering third gear gave up on the way to the first stage!.Time for a gearbox rebuild.Look out for the blue Mk11 in the future!
Paul.

It will be hard to pick you out among all the other mkII's . I've never been to any other rally where such a high % of the entry was made up of mkII's but it was great to see them . Much better to watch than those gp N evos and scoobys that seem to make up the entry in most other rallies . Mind you I've heard that it's cheaper to buy/build a competitive evo than a mkII . Remember - keep the revs up !
