They stopped supplying it from Sprucefield a few months ago, apparently their other pumps made more money and they whipped out the SUL pumps and replaced them.

We'll I was in Dublin working several times in January and got SUL there.
I asked the guy in Sainsburys holywood exchange this morning if they were dropping it.
He said not that he was aware and also said that Sprucefield dropped it because they're so busy and unleaded is by far more popular than SUL

Shame

BP ultimate is the only widely available alternative now
So choices now for me is have my Andy Forrest remap tweeked for BP ultimate or remaped it to run normal stuff?

I tried the BP stuff before when I was running with the PPP map.
Car didn't seem to like the stuff much.
Anyone else had this?

Seem quite a common theme

In what model and have you remapped it specifically for BP Ultimate?

Every car Ive tuned Ive always used BP Ultimate. The station is local to me, and BP Ultimate is readily available. So it makes sense.

Loads of people complain about many things. Most of it has little foundation, its maybe based on some crap they read on the internet.

And more than likely all the fuel we get here comes from the same sources anwyay, which has been backed by people in the fuel industry.

Just exactly what problems have you had with the fuel ? I dont think Ive ever had a genuine case of "bad fuel" in my life.

Although apparently there was an issue recently where a lot of water somehow found its way into some BP fuel

I haven't used it in years to be honest.
Last time I used it was on current car.
It then was simply a PPP'd MY05 UK STI

Car ran very lumpy, hesitant and generally didn't want to "go"

Since then its had an Andy Forrest custom remap.

Sprucefield has not had SUL for over 6 months! The SUL pumps were removed and extra diesel pumps put in.

Not sure what fuel you were using in January Shaun but the SUL pumps were removed last october when the refit occured.

I run my car on Ultimate 99% of the time as it's the closest garage to me. Then on the rare occasion I take the car to work I have to drive past Sainsburys at the Holywood exchange so it would be rude not to take advantage of the cheap stuff. TBH I can't really see any difference.

WTF is up with Sainsburys ? They used to do cheaper fuel than most places.

My local BP garage...which is often quite dear...is cheaper than the one at Holywood for diesel !!!

And I just bloody filled at Holywood
