Can safely say - stay well out of the way. I didn't and learnt a lesson certainly won't be going near them ever again.

Default Not on your nelly

Well lets say I went down and priced a couple of things with them, alloys being one of them, Nice set of Rotas GRA 18s

Now I didnt buy them off the company name on the pic, now as some of you know me I never enter into anything without finding out all the pros and cons, rights and wrongs, so that I am always 99% sure on what, where and when and how things are. Priced the alloys at variuos stores, shops, internet etc, north and south of the border, all worked in and around 900 to 1000quid for a set wi tyres, (quality tyres) so when i was asked by a said member of the i said the cheapest was 1250 to which he said 1150 quid sterling, did not give me a chance to say my quote was in euro . said I would think about it. Phone J.O.N. Exhausts up in Newry, spoke to a guy called colm and asked him for a quote =£885. Asked why I was shocked told him about Lisburn, he said that they get the wheels from the same place and no way is that the price see link

Alloy Wheels | Buy Alloy Wheels | Chrome Alloy Wheels | All Types of Alloy Wheels by Top Gear

so all I can say is, wont be going to Lisburn to buy anything, nowt, nadda, zip, zilch,

Where is A1, need a number and name to talk to...................

they cant last long term in the business with this type of advertisment based on peoples experience, which is why my first port of call is the expertise that is performance subaru. I cant for the like of me work out why people dont call there first.

Been there once, eastwoods coudnt get my car in and out in the time i needed it by, so went to get a qoute for ECC to change the front crank oil seal. He qouted me a grand!!! I walked away, Eastwoods then lent me the tools so i could do the work myself, seal was a fiver and the belt was 40notes. How the hell did he come up with the qoute of a grand. Also heard they have blew a few motors up on the rollers!

After I fitted my K&N typhoon it produced slight hesiation when flooring in 5th & 6th (turned out to be turbo chatter) was in lisburn in my lorry so thought I would call in and describre my fault to ECC. As soon as I described the problem the guy behind the counter whipped out a badly damaged piston and says "what you have is a very bad case of knock, you will need to get rid of ur MAF with a new ECU our youir piston will look like this" he also said they will set the bar @1.6, that will be £1800" My car was diagnosed without it even being there!!!
obviously I was a bit worried. Then I spoke to Phil at Ai he explained it was turbo chatter, I also read on the net a lot of articles about chatter so my mind was put at rest, I still need to get rid of it though.

I think they are just concerned about getting the cash and dont give 2 ***** about customers cars.

On another experience the fitted a multidisc changer in my Ep3 Civic, when they finished i stuck a cd on and no sound came out but the cd was playing. The muppets put the red jack into the white socket and the white jack in the red socket

Im not defending anyone here but being in business myself I have to say that this looks like a bit of a witch-hunt.
Surely no-one involved in the tuning game could be that blatently poor/incompitant.
The single best premises and equipment in Ireland.
I personally have been the victim of redicule and abuse in that everything I sell is "shyte" from one particular (ex) director of ECC but Im quite thick skinned and anyone who knows me knows different!
Lets wait and see the response from the company itself....

Dont think its a witch hunt Scubbay, someone asked an opinion and he got feedback, fair enough none of it was good! If they are having a shake up that can only be a good thing, but it takes alot to repair a damaged reputation! There was a 22B in England that had quite a smash, it was repaired and ended up in NI! Im sure Sean Mckeever had it at one point.
