Does anyone one know how or has anyone replaced their dash lights, heater control lights etc?

Mine have had it and are on there way out and I would like to replace or strap a torch to my head lol.

The "bright" switch also doesnt work, I think this is something to do with a two stage dash light. Either that or it is ment to make the car feel brighter and give me an extra 50bhp...

the "bright" switch only makes ur clock brighter....pointless, but sure

although ive no idea how to change the dash lights as i havnt needed to do it yet

Pretty easy done mate just 8 screws removes the speedo pod and theres only about 6 holding in the ac controls
Your car will have an electronic speedo instead of the cable driven type of the earlier models so refitting isnt the pita it can be with earlier cars.


Im going to be down at cars n stuff all weekend if you want to pop down

Anyone know how may lamps there are in total? will try and get some, want to replace with originals to match boost controller goin in shortly.

Does anyone know how the dash clock is displayed as mine is black.
Does it run from the dash lights or is it a stand alone LCD?

i replaced mine took dash pod out dead easy,make sure you replace with same watt bulbs as you can burn out the RIBBON connectors,at the back of the clocks yous brightness control is probally stuck on dim

you get orginals in halfords alot cheaper,as they do them in packs,

some clampet changed mine to blue bulbs before i got my motor and tbh.. i`ve no idea what speed i`m doing at night... i just randomly guess

Cheers guys, dont mean to be a pest but do you know what type of lamps they are and what the wattage is on them as I cant strip dash then get lamp with car in pieces?

they are the wee push in type,you know its just like the head of a bulb there is no metal at end only two wee wires, 6 off, they are 5watt each
