WORD OF WARNING!! There are 2 DIFFERENT SIZE FILTERS for the 99 spec sport. there was a "facelift" which took place on the 3rd month of 99, and consequently the air box was affected. my car tho, was registered in the 2nd month 99, and even the filter made for this car doesnt fit ie. ITS TOO SHORT. AROUND 3 1/2 INCHES. i am currently at loggerheads with the ebay company i bought it off, as they are expecting me to pay an extra £12 for the "proper" filter for my car. if they had advertised the filter "properly" themselves, we wouldnt be in this situation, and as the filter i bought wasnt "as described" and "fit for the purpose" i have NO intention of payin extra for it.
The item number for the k&n filter which was made for the "pre-facelift car" is 33-2031-2 (the shorter filter). I will post up the item number for the "facelift car" when i get this info.
