Ecutek V After market ECU

Ecutek V After market ECU
am trying to weigh up the pros and cons of each here for a MY99 turbo 2000
ECUTEK - alot cheaper, less work involved, retains alot of the cars safety features and cold start etc
negative side is your not actually buying a unit, so it cant be taken off if i decided to put the car back to standard and sell the bits
After Market - expensive in comparison, is a full stand alone unit and fully mappable to any mods i have, does away with the dreaded air flow meter and can give more potential for big power if i decided to go for more
anyone have experiences of both?
Im thinking the ecutek may give me what im after as i dont want to go for big power to be honest and a full ecu may be more than what i need. somewhere around a reliable 320-330bhp would do me fine i think.
my supporting mods would be full decat exhaust and downpipe, panel filter, greddy boost controller(all on car) then to that i will add a FMIC, VF35 turbo, walbro uprated fuel pump and if needed larger injectors and a rising rate FPR.
any advice or opinions is much appreciated

yeah i have the option of a haltech unit fitted and mapped by OMA or the ecutek. i know the haltech will be the more ***** out option and has so mucm more to it, but i think it might just be more than what i need, if i had planned on going to 350+ then yeah a full ecu would be the better option but i want to prolong the relibility of the gearbox, clutch and engine internals as much as i can

well u have hit the nail on the head there mate, 320 bhp would be bloody quick considering ur car started with ( wot 208 / 220 bhp )
i would say get the cheaper option
then if u decide for take it futher later on get the stand alone.
cause u could get to 320 bhp or so and be happy with the car being left at that
