when i lived in norwich, a group called scoobycity, ran an annual Children in Need rally/convoy. everyyear they would get at least 70 scoobs meet up in the city with police escort and local radio/tv coverage and would find a landmark for a photo shoot for cameras.they would then stop at different destinations and have buckets for donations as they attracted a good crowd. at the end of the day it was all for charity and was good publicity for them.

maybe we could come up with something like that. i think it was round novemebr time. well impressed me and the boys from norn iron who were staying with me at that time. was very well organised.

an addition is that a large designated car park some where like juction 1, sprucefield etc with permission from the owners, be used as show piece, and people could pay a quid or so for entrance. again fees going to charity.

just some thoughts seen from past experiences.

reminiscing here......once was at a show at great yarmouth stadium where it run by the norfolk police. basically was police vs cruisers. there was events like slaloms, car control, drag races, show and shines etc. police turned up in cars like lotus, evo, scoobs, st220s with the livery on them. the aim was to keep racing off the streets and to create a better relatinship between police/cruisers. enjoyable day

sounds fantastic. not 2 keen on the belfast city centre on a saturday tho...................
