Sul,
on the motorway did you spot the guard sitting in the car on the central reservation pointing toward the traffic with the hairdryer?
luckily the thingy on the dash spotted him first!!!

I did manage to avoid capture, but only because some **** in a white van pulled out in front of me
And if Im not mistaken, the rozzer had two hairdryers, one for each side of the carriageway!
BTW, possibly going to order an AP-22. Have been yes/no ing for since you sent me the link. Past experience tells me it'll be a yes.

Was thi on the new M-way between dundalk and Drogheda? There where two guards doing this on Monday as well. Northbound traffic was being clocked with radar, southbound with laser. We where shifting along in a Corrado VR6 (100+) when we spotted them. The driver just about crapped on the spot. The rozzers jumped in the car and headed in the other direction. Phew!!! About 5 seconds later a big bike came screaming past heading south. We reckon he must have clocked him first on the laser and went after the bigger fine.
