Sounds like he's dealing with someone with a totally standard 04 WRX. Nice car, but it isnt exactly going to set the tarmac on fire, or even singe it.
Either way, racing on the public roads isnt a smart thing to do.

the smiley at the end means my comment was meant to be taken tongue in cheek but as you have decided to get arsey i feel i must comment.
so you have a standard 04 wrx, yes nice car but as stevie says ain't gonna set the world alight. FQ340 is gonna blow the doors off you. try taking it to a 1/4 mile track and you will see how slow they actually are. STi versions with 276 bhp are doing 1/4s in about 14 seconds, so how slow does that make your car!!

i agree the standard wrx is not very quick, in fact my old a4 felt quicker but i know its not, i would expect 14.5 quarter . or maybe slightly less.
not that it matters as it will never be on the strip

there was a 1/4 mile event run by straightliners at st angelo, down enniskillen way, this year. some big fat coont in a white subaru from belfast won it beating the Fensport Corolla. i think trevor from straightliners would like to do a couple of event over here next year.
standard clutch will be ok if you are running standard power.
