Default tomtom navigator in northern ireland

thinking about buying one of these but have been told that the Northern Ireland coverage is not great. could anyone, especially those who own and use their tomtom in NI give me an unbiased opinion of the NI capabilities. i have no doubt about the UK mainland and am told it is superb so i have no worries there.

cheers

V.Interested in the out come of this was looking at one of these myself, seeing as I am not so good at the map reading

From what I gather coverage of Ireland is very patchy...Last time I looked at sat nav over here just the likes of Dublin and parts of BFast were covered.

What you looking as BS the Tom Tom Go ?

Have seen these on offer at the minute £50 off..

yep m8 tomtom go seems to be the one to go for. 500 sovs tho......ouch. want to make sure that it will do what i want before i splash the cash. i have posted on a couple of tomtom forums to see what the response is like. been to pc world and a guy i know fairly well said it was crap in the north apart from round the belfast area
will wait and see and will keep you informed as best i can

can you not go with the pioneer sat nav stuff seeing as you have the head unit already. about £800-900 IIRC

Have I got this right: you're going to splash out £500 to find your way around Norn Iron?
