WRC Australia
Similar post to the Catalunya one...
I'm thinking of going to Australia in September for the WRC and also to travel for a couple of weeks while I'm there.
Has anyone been? Is it well organised? Worth going to? Can you recommended any company's to use? Places to see? General experiences and do and dont's... etc etc..
Thanks in advance

Hi Lou,
Never been to the Oz rally, but I will be there this year
I found a company on the net http://www.events.com.au who do a Subaru Supporters Tour of the rally
Have a look here for more info http://www.events.com.au/Motor%20Spo...aru%20Flye.pdf
Effectively, you are looking at A$1500 (£550) for:
* 5 nights accomodation
* return airport transfers
* private charter touring to vip rally spectating points
* behind the scenes visit to rally HQ
* official VIP dinner - meet the Subaru Drivers
* entry to the VIP sky villa for the SS stages
* BBQ lunches provided
Sound like pretty good value, if you want to take it easy, be driven every where and get a good behind the scenes look.
They are taking names for people who are interested for this years tour, although final details have not been released yet.
Oh, and the cheapest airfares that I have found anywhere from UK -> Oz were at http://www.airline-network.co.uk/
Thanks,
Andrew.

Hi Andrew,
Thanks so much for all that info, I didn't have a clue where to start looking for stuff, but now I do!
The itinery for the supporters tour looks amasing and for £550, well worth doing, just got to get some reliable mates together now and book it!
How do you put your name down for it, I looked on the site but it doesn't seem to say?
Thanks again
Lou

Hi Lou,
I sent an email to sports@events.com.au and said that I was interested in the tour and could they add me to their interest list.
Got a reply the very next day, just waiting for this year's package details to be released
Thanks,
Andrew.
