Default Visual Voltage readout LCD Mod for a few quid.

This is a little mod I've done this week as the weathers turning and the nights are drawing in. I thought it would be a good idea to be able to see the battery condition as well as the alternators charge output.

Bought the LCD panel from ebay for a few quid and they come in 3 colours, green/red/blue. I chose green.

£3.70 for the panel, free postage, Link below.

I decided to mount it in one of the coin holders in the console and wire it straight into the mirror switch loom to obtain the reading. Just had to file a few mm out of the plastic where the coin holder was removed from for it to fit. It had it's own connector on the back of the display with a +- pig tail for the feed.

Here's a few pics of it fitted sorry about the quality.

Looks like a decent set up. Could you have not got it to go where the bright button goes, or do you have an import?

Cheers fella, it's small enough to fit in lot's of places . I looked at the blank near the bright switch and found that the panel was 1mm over size on the height which could of been filled of the edge. At least in the coin slot it can easily be removed and replaced with a new coin holder.
