Question gauges illumination

I have a set of pro sport gauges, been fitted for a week with no problems. Last night I noticed that they were not lighting up green when I switched on the headlights, have been fine before.

I have checked the wiring and all is ok, checked fuses and all ok. My stereo dims with headlights but all 3 gauges dont.

Not sure where to look next, I suppose I can wire the gauges off the stereo but it would be nice to find problem if there is one. Anyone cleverer than me with any ideas?

sounds odd this but turn off lights and ignition, and unplug negative from battery for 30 seconds reconnect and try again.

Another one I had is one of the gauges stays white with the others green only way I solved that was to take pod out and pull lead from gauge then reinsert seem to cure it guess the gauge gets confused sometimes they are solid-state.

Yep disconnecting the battery will work, but I hate having to retune all the radio setting etc and its not good for the ECU, Have heard of people resetting or upsetting setting keep disconnecting battery

I feel a real *****, took all the gauges apart, checked fuses etc... I didnt even know that switch was on the stalk I cleaned my car yesterday and my kids were sat inside 'helping', I can only guess that along with switching the indicators, lights and wipers on, they also managed to do this!

Thanks for the help, really appreciated and please feel free to extract the urine out of me in the future!
