Default which pipe to run boost gauge from

before anyone asks yes i have searched and come up with info but no pics etc of where to T in for the pipe work
a pic would be good as i still do not know my way around the scooby engine
im fitting the gauge to a 2002 sti
i have the power feed done coming from the clock wiring

Any of the little vacuums lines on top of the inlet will do the job

You may even have a spare unused nipple on the inlet you can just put it straight on to.

is there any reason i cant T into the pipe going into the standard dump valve on intercooler?
im sure i read that it is okay there ,

Yep thats fine, If you `T` into it a bit further away from the DV into the pipe its all hidden under the intercooler

Always use a 'Tee' as a last option, mainly for accuracy. There should more than likely be a spare nipple on the inlet manifold.
