hi all,

got myself a hawk centre console to put in my bug, the place where i got it from sent everything (well at least i think) apart from the stereo brackets and a small bracket by the heater vents which he is gonna get from the car hopefully but do i need these too????

also what about the handbrake? do i need the one from the car or will mine fit

i mate i did this to my bug,

yes you do need those parts, you need the whole centre consol including the handbrake.

and you deffo need those radio brackets

 

+1 your old handbrake can be modified to fi by shortening the cable but its far easier to get a hawk one.

 

thanks for the info, i got myself a handbrake today and hopefully the place where i got the console is sorting out the rest i.e the stereo bkt and the side bits. do i really need the little one by the heater vents?

 

i dont know what bracket this is, i didnt get one, my heater vent just pushes in tidy, if you can get a pic of this just maybe just maybe im missing this, but it all fit good anyway

 

its not essential but it holds the top vents in with screws.

Got a handbrake from a 07 car and the little cable on it is longer than mine is, I thought they were shorter?

 

there is a little tab that bends over on the handbrake, bend this back and you can remove the cable and do the same on your old one and swap cables over and all will fit fine.

isnt an 07 the hatchback???
