Advice on Gauge location.
Hi All,
I'm planning on putting in Oil Temp/Pressure and Boost gauges in my '96 STi 555 V-Limited. I have pretty much decided on either 52 or 60mm Prosports. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on what pod/insert to use and location to put it in?
I had a set in my leggy Gt in the centre console and I always felt they were in the wrong place to be easily visible. I ended up with a pod on top of the dash but I'm trying to avoid that this time. The pod wasn't an elegant solution, but it was certainly easy to see.
Pillar pod would be simple, but I'm concerned about the effect on my night vision with them that high up, also reduced vision going in to roundabouts.
I'm not ruling out any location at the moment.
Any thoughts much appreciated and pics if anyone has them would be great.
Thanks
Mark

No cubby hole on a 96 car Jeff.
A-Pillar pod in mine;
Milsport used to supply a 3 gauge pod the replaced the centre heater vents, but, don't seem to list it anymore. Pictured below.
A friend of mine did get a dashtop 3 gauge pod for the early dash. It followed the contours of the dash top and was quite a good fit and colour match.
I've sent him a message to ask if he can remember where he got it from.
