Default Prosport Oil Temp Gauge

I fitted a set of green/ white premium gauges to an 06 Hawk, boost, oil pressure, & oil temp. All wired in and working correctly for a couple of weeks. Until now I have developed this weird problem. The oil temp gauge completely shuts down after about 5 mins, leave it until next morning and exactly the same, works fine for 5 mins then powers down. The three gauges are daisy chained boost / pressure / temp in that order, I have tried reversing the daisy chain but results are the same even with oil temp connected to supply first. Anyone experienced this before?

If they are daisy chained, and the others work, it's unlikley to be the wiring.

I assume each has it's own sender? And that the problem occurs when the sender gets hot?

So..........check the sender wiring. Check that the sender is earthed to the block.
If the problem persists, could you try another sender?

And finally, where and how is the sender mounted?

When the sender fails or is missing the prosport guages just flash, they dont power down/switch off.

Is it not prosport gauges that have problems with poor connectors at the rear?

Could the one from the sender be not in tight?

Checked all wiring and connectors - all of them are in tight. I suspect it's the gauge tbh

Prosport connectors are a bit 'scaty' at the best of times. As mentioned if the sender is not connected in any way the guage just flashs.

Too be fair I have to somtimes get a very small terminal screwdriver and push them in that little bit extra to hear the click.

It could be the supply connector not in properly, all though a bit of a long shot.
