(I wasn't sure this was supposed to be posted here or in Electrical, please excuse me if it's wrong!)

So my heater fan motor burned up (had taken in water, water froze, fan was stuck when I turned it on = unable to move so it burned).

Now my two questions:
- Car is a 2002 JDM WRX, but with 2004 STi LEFT hand drive dash - are the fans from new age imprezas all the same?
- I should be able to install a blower motor from an RHD car, as long as I use my old fan blades, right? So the air blows in the right direction

I would think the answer to both questions is yes, I cannot see Subaru fitting different fans/motors.

The fan blades will be the same too, it only has to blow air over the heater matrix/into the car. JDM and UK fans ought to be the same too.
