DEFI Gauges help please

I had 3 DEFI gauges installed recently, my problem is with the oil pressure one.
It sits around 60 then when you put the foot down it races up to the end of the scale and drops back to zero. This repeats itself several times eratically and eventually it rests back at 60 ish.
They are brand new gauges but the oil was recently changed at my 1000 mile service to Millers 10W60. Its a brand new STI7 with only 1300 miles on the clock now. Any help would be appreciated.
