PSi3 data monitors
I have 2 PSI3 ecu data monitors which use the obd2 port to retrieve data from the ecu from the K-line on pin 7 on a Subaru Impreza STI 2005 . I have tried to connect both units using a y cable but only 1 unit will display the information the other unit just displays dashes instead of values, I know that there must be a 2 way communication between the unit and the ecu but does anyone know is there any way of connecting both units to pin 7 so they both communicate with the ecu?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Normally the PSi3 shows dashes when it can't find a sensor or the value is not recognised by the firmware. Like trying to display oil temp when you don't have the defi sender attached.
Is that what you mean

PS
Not many people look in this section, I'd cut and paste it over to "general technical"

With the 2 monitors connected 1 will display correctly the other 1 will only display dashes apart from oilt emp & pressure which are using external sensors. If i swap them round on the y cable i get the same result and it's the same unit that displays correctly by disconnecting this unit the other then works correctly. Both units work correctly on their own on either connector on the y cable so it's not the cable at fault. to answer Joey The reason for having the 2 units as it was just gathering dust in the garage i thought i could use it so i could display the time which the older unit can do as the newer 1 is where the clock was and a also a few other parameters. as it was just gathering dust in the garage.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Sounds like your getting a conflict with the ECU and the OBD pins are only able to transmit to one source.
They are still sort after, so it maybe worth you selling it.
