Default gauge wiring

ive just got myself a set of gauges and a triple pod the put in the cubby hole on my00 but want to check the wiring befor ei put it all in is this the best way to do it by using the hazard switch wiring as i need 4 wires which are
red (12v ignition switch)
white(battery +)
Green (12v dash lighting)
black (earth)

on the hazard switch ive found there is
Black (earth)
purple (which seems to become live when the lights are turned on)
black/green (which seems the become live when the ignition is on)
white (which seems to be permant live)

would this be the best way of wiring them in
what other ways would there be to do it
any help would be great
cheers

IF the colours you have given at top are correct, then yes, the wiring at the rear of the hazard switch will suffice.

If you decide to use wiring off the back of the clock instead:
- black=earth
- blue=battery +
- red=lights-on/clock-dim
- yellow=ignition on
