OE seats in classic for lardarse?
Hi all
So I got my new classic. My **** doesn't fit in the seats very well. Are there any OEM alternatives that'll go in a MY99 UK car that are more accomodating? Neither my **** or back fit in the original turbo seats. I may resemble a gorilla.
Thanks

I have these from a newage, the fronts will fit, but I believe the rears need a little tweaking - if you're interested. I know Swisstony had a newage interior in his old classic.

I can only compare them to either type R or newage bucket seats, and on both counts yes they are. Depending on where in Essex you are feel free to come and try them - I'm just outside Watford, N. London

Had the opportunity yesterday to sit in some UK300 seats (in a classic) and they were somewhat more compliant than the ones in my car but still not really where i'd like to be.
Can anyone confirm if the UK300 seats are a tighter fit than normal ones?

iirc UK300 are STI ones without the STI badge. I remember something about the V7 being snugger than the V8 seats, but cannot be sure. The Spec C are similar and my brother-in-law's bug with buckets are just as snug. They are tighter than the seats I have just taken out of my bug. You just need to try a few and find the ones that fit. STI/Spec C seats etc carry a premium because of their finish and desireability. If those buckets suit you can pick up WRX buckets (with a plainer trim) for a quite a bit less. Depends on what colours work best for you I suppose

Iv put blob sti seats in my classic and id say there a tighter fit in the **** than the classic ones and you sit higher. Although my drivers seat has had the legs shortened so i dont sit so high.

Guys, slighty off topic but having had several variants I can say that barring my current car the 02STI seats are the best of the whole lot.
05STI seats were too wide.
But talking about narrow seats - I've just bought a 330S and those Recaro seats as nice as they may be are very narrow.
It comes with a disclaimer - If you've got a big **** then you're not getting in!

No worries mate, they are sat here with little interest. I'm back at work on Wednesday, but I am around evenings and weekends, so whatever suits. I can't offer to meet half way either as my car is off the road awaiting deliveries

So last time I picked up a set of the seats (same that Jon was selling above, but I missed out on those!)..
They look bigger and most certainly are around the upper part of the seat, but it's the legs. The legs. Mine are dead now The side bolsters (right term?) on the lower part of the seat have left an imprint in my thighs.
Any other suggestions? .. I can't see me continuing with Subaru ownership if I can't get comfy in it.
nb: yes, I know what the _right_ solution is
